Writer: Purushothama S KPurushothama S K

A parental counselling was organised and held on 6th.October by our school counsellor covering on broader topics such as attending to child's needs which includes attention to child's basic hygiene and proper meals on time. Discussing child's socio-emotional aspects and the roles of the parents in building this skill at home for the start. More importantly, parent's were explained that discipline is 'to teach' rather than to punish, so to understand the children, parents were explained 'Why' 'what' and 'how' of teaching child discipline. This was followed by active group discussion by parents in group and brainstorming and sharing insights. Nonetheless, importance of mental health is highlighted, urging parents to encourage and support child's hobbies that teaches child skills and builds confidence. We thank GLOBAL AFFAIRS CANADA for the funds, Sherig -DOE for the guidance, our school for the support and parents for investing their time and energy for the better future of our kids.
