SEE Learning Week Programme (20th April – 25th April 2026)

Our school successfully organized a week-long SEE Learning Programme from 20th April to 25th April 2026, focusing on Social, Emotional, and Ethical learning. The programme was thoughtfully designed to help students cultivate empathy, compassion, and self-awareness through meaningful and engaging activities.

Day 1: Introductory Session (20/04/2026)The week commenced with an introductory session hosted by Ms. Rinchen Dolma from 9:10 to 9:30 a.m. The SEE Learning Committee members delivered the opening speech, guiding students on the importance of “educating the heart.” The session set the tone for the week by outlining its purpose and encouraging students to actively participate in the journey of emotional and ethical growth.

Day 2: Experiential Learning at CVP School (21/04/2026)Hosted by Mr. Norbu Nyima, students visited CVP School from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for an experiential learning session. They explored SEE learning zones and observed how a “Compassionate School” functions in practice. The visit included an insightful guest lecture by SEE facilitator Mr. Tsering Chomphel, who explained how the environment can influence emotional regulation and well-being.

Day 3: The Empathy Challenge – Walk in Others’ Shoes (22/04/2026)Under the guidance of Ms. Tenzin Deachen, students participated in a powerful empathy-building activity. They assumed roles such as being visually impaired, hearing impaired, physically challenged, or a pregnant mother for the day. The session concluded with a sharing circle from 2:40 to 4:00 p.m., where students reflected on their experiences, gaining deeper empathy and appreciation for their own abilities.

Day 4: Community Connections (Guest Speakers) (23/04/2026)Ms. Tenzin Sonam hosted a guest speaker session from 2:50 to 4:00 p.m. Representatives from Karuna Special School, an Old Age Home, and a Dog Shelter shared their experiences. The session highlighted compassion for all living beings and gave students insight into the dedication and patience required in caregiving roles.

Day 5: Community Cleaning Drive (24/04/2026)Led by Mr. Norbu Nyima, students took part in a community cleaning drive from 2:50 to 4:00 p.m. The activity aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and pride in maintaining a clean environment. Students worked in groups to clean designated areas, promoting teamwork and civic awareness.

Day 6: Freeze and Reflect Game (25/04/2026)The final day, hosted by Ms. Rinchen Dolma from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., featured an interactive “Freeze and Reflect” activity. Students acted out scenarios involving bullying, anger, teasing, and social exclusion. Through guided reflection, they learned to pause, think, and respond thoughtfully, enhancing their self-awareness, empathy, and decision-making skills.

ConclusionSEE Learning Week was a transformative experience for all participants. Through a blend of reflection, interaction, and real-world exposure, students developed a deeper understanding of themselves and others. The programme reinforced the importance of compassion, responsibility, and mindful action—values that will continue to guide students beyond the classroom.
