Concluding Ceremony Marks the Successful Completion of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's 90th Year Celebrations

སློབ་གྲྭའི་གོ་སྟོན་ཚོགས་ཆུང་གི་གོ་སྒྲིག་འོག གོ་སྟོན་དང་འབྲེལ་བའི་བྱེད་སྒོ་ཇི་སྤེལ་གྱི་ལས་སྡོམ་སྙན་སྒྲོན་དང་། གོ་སྟོན་གྱི་བྱེད་སྒོ་ཁག་ལས་ཐོབ་པའི་མྱོང་ཚོར་གླེང་བརྗོད། གཞས་སྣ་གཟིགས་འབུལ། རྩེད་མོ་གོ་སྒྲིག་བཅས་ཀྱི་སྒོ་ནས་གོ་སྟོན་སྲུང་བརྩི་མཇུག་སྒྲིལ་གྱི་མཛད་སྒོ་དེ་བཞིན་གང་རྒྱས་ཤིག་གོ་སྒྲིག་ཞུས་ཡོད།

On 1st July 2026, our school's Ghoton Committee successfully brought the year-long celebrations commemorating His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's 90th Year to a meaningful and joyous conclusion with a special closing ceremony.

The programme served as a wonderful opportunity for the school community to reflect on a year filled with learning, gratitude, and celebration in honour of His Holiness's extraordinary life, teachings, and enduring contributions to humanity. Throughout the year, students and staff actively participated in a wide range of educational, cultural, and community-based activities designed to deepen their understanding of His Holiness's values of compassion, peace, wisdom, and service.

The ceremony began with a comprehensive report presented by the Ghoton Committee, highlighting the various programmes and initiatives organised during the year-long celebrations. The report offered a thoughtful overview of the memorable events and the enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, and the wider school community.

One of the most inspiring segments of the programme was the sharing of experiences and reflections by students. They spoke about the valuable lessons they had learned through the celebrations, expressing how the activities had strengthened their appreciation of His Holiness's teachings and inspired them to cultivate kindness, responsibility, and compassion in their daily lives.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, students presented a vibrant cultural dance performance that showcased their talent and enthusiasm. The celebration concluded with a series of fun-filled games that brought together students and staff in a spirit of joy, friendship, and unity, making the occasion both memorable and enjoyable for everyone.

The concluding ceremony not only marked the successful completion of the year-long celebrations but also reaffirmed our school's commitment to upholding and practising the timeless values exemplified by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. As the celebrations came to an end, the inspiration and lessons gained throughout the year will continue to guide our students in becoming compassionate, responsible, and mindful individuals.
